CHANEL MANICATO

GLAD YOU'RE HERE!
MANICATO = Bold, Valiant, Good Hearted
WHO I AM
In 2010 I was gifted the nickname Manicato from the native Taino Arawak language of Puerto Rico. Over the last decade, I have worked to embody this title by meeting people where they are in celebrating the big life moments... and I'm pretty much there for it all!
WHAT I DO
As a Queer Boricua HoodFemme it is an honor to provide unbiased, holistic, and empathetic care to Black & Brown, Queer, and Undocumented communities. These values are reflected in my full time work as a student affairs professional supporting Health & Wellness efforts on college campuses.
As a Wellness Program Consultant, I help colleges and universities brainstorm, develop, and implement programs through a social justice and equity focused lens.
As a Birth Doula and reproductive justice advocate, I assist birthing clients and families as they prepare for labor and postpartum changes.
As an Ordained Wedding Officiant, I also customize marriage and commitment ceremonies to reflect the legacies of each couple during their special event!
